Unfortunately as it stands now, yes you will have to redownload the game when 1.3 comes but due to how Ren'Py stores saves your save file will transfer to the new version and once you open, load and re-save in 1.3 you can safely delete 1.2 if you want to save space. The only Koikatsu/Ren'Py game (the art and playstyle of this game) that has an updater right now is Champion of Realms and even that updater is still in testing and is far from good atm. Luckily this and most other Koikatsu/Ren'Py games usually have substantial updates that add close to 2 or 3 hours of gameplay per update for their free releases here in Itch, every month or so for some. HHG is one that takes a long time to get the free updates but they are BIG when they come.

The action button triggers specifics scenes with some girls. Right now, all girls have the action button but some of them have no actions. This will be changed in v0.1.3.

after Lucy gets lvl8?7? she'll give you 25silver and that should unblock quest with buying more rooms for 30silver ( unless you already did that, didn't play more, have my own problems that currently can't be fixed till new update )

mine usually crashes during interactions with the girls i can fish fine or sit at the quest board for hours no crashes but cutscenes will crash every few interactions

This game is such a huge surprise. I came for the sex but stayed for the story. The stories are great but the characterization of each characters are genuine and multi dimensional. I appreciate that the girls arent just the typical air headed, big breast onee-sama anime characters but a person with a life outside the MCs influence and has, dare I say, character growth in my hentai game?. Because of this it made the love scenes engaging and somewhat emotional.
I dont like paying for hentai games but by god this one deserves it, which makes this more of a great thing since this is free.
My only complain is the name "Hero's Harem Guild" is such a generic name that i feel this one deserves more, since it delivers far more than a generic hentai game.
I would like to play the game but whenever I try to download when 6 GB arrives the download error would someone have another link or a way to solve this

For windows, locate your game (The place where you put it) HHG->Game->Save, just simply drag the folder of it and drop it to the newer version and you're set
For Android you don't really need to do anything. Just install the latest version of the game and It will overwrite your current version but keep all your saved files so you won't lose it.
I just got one and I have almost all the perks. I just bought lots of equipment like worms or baits, a few of all of them. I just got the legendary one from the market. I can't get the one from the lake yet
